María Zebadúa P. is partner of CAYPE Abogados, her practice has been distinguished handling corporate and commercial operations and transactions, including national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures; as well as in aspects of corporate governance and tender procedures.

Previously, Maria’s professional development focused on international arbitration, particularly regarding foreign investment and the energy sector disputes, including civil and commercial litigation. Such experience has complemented her practice as a corporate lawyer.

In addition, Ms. Zebadúa has experience litigating civil and commercial matters (including insolvency proceedings) before Mexican federal and local courts. Among others, she has participated in and handled a wide variety of litigation in all instances, on behalf of domestic and foreign clients.

Education

María Zebadúa holds a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana, A.C., Mexico City campus (2005) and a master's degree in law from Universidad de Chicago (The University of Chicago Law School) (2011).
