Eduardo A. Camelo R., is one of the founding partners of CAYPE Abogados. founded in 2009. Mr. Camelo’s practice has been distinguished mainly in the areas of Civil, Commercial, Corporate and Financial Law, including real estate, project financing, international transactions, trust structuring, as well as litigation and alternative dispute resolution procedures. Within his professional experience, Mr. Camelo has assisted different clients in the development and legal and financial planning of various real estate projects in the Mexican Republic. He has extensive experience in international mediation and commercial arbitration issues, in which he has represented Mexican and foreign clients, and assisted international arbitrators in the preparation and issuance of their awards.

Prior to the founding of CAYPE Abogados, he worked for the Corporación Interamericana para el Financiamiento de Infraestructura (CIFI) , in Washington, D.C. and previously at Thacher, Proffitt & Wood, in the Mexico City office.

Education

Eduardo A. Camelo holds a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana, A.C., Mexico City campus (2005). Additionally, he holds a master's degree in international law studies from Georgetown University Law Center, (Washington, D.C.) (2008), as well as studies in arbitration and international mediation at Humboldt University, (Berlin, Alemania) (2005).

He has been a professor in the subject of Introduction to the Study of Law at the Universidad Iberoamericana, A.C., Mexico City campus.
